Lizzy Dimmock was born in Jan-March 1855 at Sandridge, St Albans, Hertfordshire, the sixth child of Mary Adams & David Dimmock, a timber carter/labourer.
Lizzy was living at home in 1861, now at Adelaide St, St Albans. She had an older sister & 2 older brothers & a younger sister & brother. Her half-sister, Susanna Adams, was with the family.
There is a census record for Elizabeth Dimmock (aged 16) in 1871 working as a domestic servant for Mary & Robert Grant, a builder, & their family at Cumberland Rd, St Albans.
In 1881 Lizzy was living with her parents at Lattimore Rd, St Albans & working as a laundress. Her younger sister Martha was still at home.
Lizzie was still living at home in 1891 at London Rd, St Albans & still working as a laundress.
In 1901 Lizzie was keeping house for her widowed brother William, a domestic gardener, at 43 New England St, St Albans.
Lizzie continued to live with her brother William, now retired, at 43 New England St in 1911.
Lizzie & her sister Emma eventually came to live at 41 Park St, Frogmore, near St Albans.
Lizzie, of 41 Park St, died, aged 75, her death being registered at St Albans & she was buried on October 30th, 1931at Holy Trinity, Frogmore. Her sister Emma died 3 years later.
